The Federation 45th Anniversary Celebration Weekend Seminar Series
Saturday 27th June & Sunday 28th June
Marking 45 years of tradition, discipline and community, this special two-day celebration brings together senior instructors, students and friends of the Federation for a weekend of learning and connection.
Saturday, the main day, will feature six high-level seminars – three in the morning and three in the afternoon – with morning pastries and coffee to start the day. Following the morning sessions, we will break for lunch and proudly present grades to Federation students who were successful in their recent examinations. Following, the afternoon's one-hour seminars will offer a diverse range of technical insights and disciplines.
The day will conclude with a three-course dinner, with live entertainment from Harry Coulson and band, providing the perfect setting to celebrate the Federation’s legacy and future.
To close out the 45th Anniversary celebrations, Sunday morning will feature a special VIP seminar for Brown and Black Belt students, led by Shihan John Bear. This exclusive session will focus on the Bokken, offering senior students a deeper, more detailed exploration of principles and application – and a unique opportunity to train at an advanced level.
Pricing & Inclusions
The weekend's structure provides flexibility for all members while encouraging full participation across the day’s activities.
- Morning seminars (3 sessions) – $90 (includes complimentary pastries and coffee before the sessions)
- Grading presentation day and lunch - FREE
- Afternoon seminars (3 sessions) – $90
- All seminars (morning + afternoon) – $150
Even if you can't attend the seminars, all Federation members and their families are encouraged to attend the free Lunch and Presentation Ceremony to celebrate those who have successfully graded.
- Celebration dinner (3 courses + entertainment) – $80
- The full package (all seminar sessions + dinner) – $200
We encourage members to bring their partners and families to the evening celebration so we can come together as one martial arts family. A 10% discount will be applied to all additional dinner tickets for family and guests.
