Kancho Barry Bradshaw, 10th Dan
Professor Bradshaw has been training in the martial arts since 1946. He has built a strong reputation nationally and internationally as a superb martial artist and teacher. He is the head of the Australian Jiu-jitsu, Judo and Chinese Boxing Federation of Instructors and director of the Australian Shihan Kai. He holds the ranks of 10th Dan in Jiu-jitsu and Judo, 9th Degree in Chinese Boxing (Kung Fu), 6th Dan in Judo-do and Ido, 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate and is highly experienced in the use of a variety of weapons including sword, jo and bo.
Professor Bradshaw was a student and disciple of Professor Wally Strauss, 10th Dan (1908-1987). Professor Strauss was one of the pioneers of Judo and Jiu-jitsu in Australia.
Professor Bradshaw teaches 7 days a weeks at the headquarters of the Australian Federation of Instructors.
