Judo-do
Judo-do is a system of throws that are intended to extend Judo. Judo-do was developed in Europe in the 1950s by Professor Julius Fleck and others. Judo-do throws are often quite different from those of Judo with different positions and principles useds.
The system was inherited by Professor Wally Strauss when Fleck passed away. Kancho Bradshaw was awarded the rank of 6th Dan in Judo-do by Strauss. It is now seldom taught outside of Germany, Austria and at our headquarters.
Ken jitsu
Two weapons classes are held each week and these are frequently devoted to ken-jitsu and, to a lesser extent, iai-do. Many of the movements of Jiu-jitsu and Judo are based on the sword and an understanding of the sword and its use can help to improve unarmed technique.
